Library is an organized collection of information resources made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. Our library is on the first floor, in a quiet atmosphere. It is furnished with 24hr power back up, good seating capacity, computer and many rare books. We have 6600 reference books, more than ten thousand journals and text books. Our library staff is very co-operative and cordial and are ready to serve. The teachers and students are given books and magazines by the book lifter and sometimes they are given suggestive books by the librarian also. The students can borrow 2 books at a time for a stretch of 15 days while the teachers can avail the magazines and books as per their needs. At the end of the academic session, the whole library is revamped and books are re arranged.
Sports Facility
Sports facilities are available in the college as per university guidelines. Students are encouraged to participate in activities of sports. We have outdoor games as- Basketball, Handball, Netball, Judo, Athletics and Indoor games as- Table Tennis, Carom Board, Chess and many more. There is a Sports Committee to look after the sports activities so that the students can participate in different sports events organized by the University. Two coaches are appointed to give training to the students for different games. The college tries its best to provide all the facilities to the students such as traveling, kit, food, daily allowance, medical care etc. There is a pucca basket ball court in the college campus. Every year our students are selected at university level in different Outdoor and Indoor games. The Sports Committee see to it that the students participates in the district level and university level sports competitions. The teams are coached by trained coaches. A member of sports committee always accompanies the team. The Students do regular practice in Sonakpur Sports Stadium.
National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organisation comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth – ‘The Leaders of Tomorrow’ – into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The genesis of the NCC can be traced back to the First World War when the Britishers created the University Corps as the second line of defense and to have a large pool of trained youth available for employment into the Armed Forces. Every year 105 students are enrolled in NCC in our college. The institution is proud of its NCC unit. A teacher is NCC in charge. A separate office room is provided for the NCC. Parades are regularly conducted in the college campus under the guidance of NCC in charge. Students participate in NCC camps regularly. Every year one or two students are selected to represent in the Republic Day Parade at New Delhi. Our Ex. NCC in charge Dr. R.K. Singh has been honored by life time designation of a Major. Presently our NCC Incharge is Lt. Dr. Mani Bansal.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage. The cardinal principle of the NSS programme is that it is organised by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation building.Two units of NSS are enrolled in the college. There are two teachers assigned for NSS. Separate room and almirah are provided for NSS. The students participate in several social events such as rallies for AIDS, drug trafficking, health and hygiene and many others. One day camps, lectures, workshops are organized from time to time. Four one-day and one seven days camp is also organized by the NSS.
A Ranger or Ranger Guide is a member of a section of some Guiding organisations who is between the ages of 14 and 25. We prepare every year 30 Rangers who are given training and complete knowledge of guiding, tent pitching, knots, first aid, making bridges and temporary shelter in the period of disaster. Our students have received President and Governor’s Award from time to time. Dr. Seema Rani is Ranger’s Incharge at present. The institute promotes the participation of students and faculty in NSS, NCC, Rangers, Sarva Shiksha Movement, Community Development, Adult Education and Literacy, Blood Donation Camps, AIDS Awareness, Enviornmental Awareness and slum area adoption programme. All these programme are integrated with academic curriculum at undergraduate level. The college promotes NCC and NSS volunteers to do social work and make adopted area aware of cleanliness, medical awareness and organization of health camps with the help of Medical Deptt. All this provides a common platform to the students for their own exposure and social responsibility. They encourage and prepare community for tree plantation blood donation. They are also taught about the harmful effects of smoking and drinking and benefits of family planning. Legal awareness camps are also organized for students so they can enlighten community
Career Counseling Cell
College is having Carrier Guidance and Placement cell which carry out workshops, G.Ds, extempore and communication skill camps for personality development. It also builds self-confidence in students. The cell is also liable for the placements of the student’s .In the year 2010 HDFC Bank had given placements to 7of our students and many of our students are employed in banks, computer centers, shopping malls, schools etc. Most of our students of batch 2011-2012of journalism got selected for training program in electronic and mass media. For the better performance of students of students various competitive books are made available in library to help them to grab the best. By career counseling cell, students are taken to malls, factories, media (electronic and print) and to management colleges so that they could learn from their working and can make up their goals and work accordingly.
Orientation Programme
Orientation include a wide range of faculty presentations that prepares a student for academic engagement and selecting her courses and activities of interest. Orientation prepares to participate in a variety of programs that will introduce student to the highest principles and values of our community: academic honor, integrity, responsibility, mutual respect, and inclusivity. Student orientation or new student orientation is a period of time at the beginning of the academic year at the institution during which a variety of events are held to orient and welcome new students. We perform it in the beginning of the session from 1st to 3rd Aug. every year. All our Faculty members participate in this, give their introduction, introduce their departments, activities of departments and other events also.
Computer Lab
We are really proud to possess a well equipped Computer Lab having 20 computers with latest software, internet connection, Printer, Scanner and other facilities. We employ fully trained staff for teaching. Lab is airy and equipped with 24hr power back up.
College has a separate place for canteen where students can sit and have healthy and fresh eatables all the time. The eatables supplied to them are cheaper than market and fresh. Our team of four persons check the quality of food from time to time. Normally they get fresh, hot and sumptuous food and snacks but they get packed material and eatables in a nominal rate.  
Eco & Science Club
Eco Club is functioning in our college since 2004 under the guidelines of Department of Botany. The main purpose of this club is the dissemination of the awareness regarding Environmental Science and making the human beings ecofriendly..B.Sc. student’s work for this objective under the supervision of skilled department. We encourage informations about environmental development, conservation and pollution control. By this we are trying to make human beings science and techno-friendly. Students are encouraged for the protection of environment. Students also prepare posters and slogans.

The main purpose of this club is to make the students aware of the importance of scientific advancements in our life and also to promote them to adopt scientific temper. This club organizes Science-Quiz as well as seminars .
Health & Hygiene
A healthy and hygienic nation can be a developed nation. A healthy mind lies in a healthy body. Illness makes financially and physically sick. It is very important to make society aware about the health and hygiene. Tuberculosis, malaria, jaundice, polio, leprosy can stay away from anyone if he is aware of health.
Prevention is better than cure. Keeping this view in mind, this programme is introduced in community development programme.

Giving knowledge about many medical camps organized by many Gos and NGOs from.time to time.
Giving knowledge of many habits as drinking and smoking and their consequences.
